In order to sync your email exchanges with your contacts in Remembr and ensure data security, it is necessary to generate a specific password in your Google account. To be able to securely connect your Gmail account to Remembr, you need to create an app password.
What is an application password?
The app password is to add prior permission for the apps or devices you use. It also allows you to block access to your account through less secure applications.
An app password allows you to log into your account from a third-party app, in our case, Remembr. It has 16 characters and maintains a high level of security.
In most cases, an application password is to be entered only once per application. It is therefore not necessary to memorize it. If you forget, you can generate a new one, even for an already authorized application.
How do I create an app password on Gmail?
To create an app password for your Google account, you first need to enable two-step security validation. If you haven't done so yet, follow the instructions for the following link: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185839?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=fr
