Want to save input time by automating your lead generation from a form while keeping contact information in your favorite NRM and automatically creating your email campaign lists? The merged Typeform, Remembr and Sendinblue API lets you automatically create contacts from a Typeform questionnaire in Remembr and send them to a Sendinblue contact list. This article will help you set up the API to connect these three tools quickly and simply.
Configuration of the Typeform API
As a first step, we will set up Typeform.
After you create your Typeform account, create your first form. To start, define the questions on your form.
For each field, you need to define what value it corresponds to in Remembr. To do this, click the "Question settings" button.
A settings menu appears. You need to replace the "Question Reference" field with the value you want to find in Remembr.
- TITLE for civility
- FIRSTNAME for first name
- LASTNAME for last name
- PHONES for phone number
- EMAILS for email
- TAGS for a tag
- TAGS2 for a 2nd tag
- TAGS3 for a 3rd tag
- NOTE for a note
- NOTE2 for a 2nd grade
- NOTE3 for a 3rd note
- CURRENT_POSITION for the job
- WEBSITE for the website
- INDUSTRY for the industry
- PHOTO for the photo
- BIRTH_DATE for date of birth
- ADDRESS for postal address
- POSTALCODE for postcode
- CITY for the city
Be sure to capitalize the references. Be aware that each field can only be used once except for the NOTE field.
Once you've set up the fields on your form, click the "Connect" tab on the top menu and click "Webhooks" in the second menu. This is where you'll connect your form to Remembr to create contacts automatically.
Click the "Add a webhook" button. Here Typeform asks you for a URL. You'll find this URL in your Remembr space.
In Remembr, go to the "Settings" settings of the top menu. Select the "APIs and Apps" section in the menu on the left.
This API space allows you to connect Remembr to external tools like Typeform.
In the Typeform box, you can set a tag that will be assigned to each contact created from the Typeform form. To create a tag, simply check the box "Add a tag to the contacts imported with this URL" and set the tag you want. The tag is recommended to facilitate your contact management afterwards. It is by no means mandatory.
Once the tag is set, copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) the URL into Typeform.
Click the "Save webhook" button. Your form is now linked to Remembr. Each time a person fills out this form, their contact will be created automatically in Remembr.
Be careful to activate your link connection by clicking the "Webhook OFF" button. Your link is well activated when the button is colored with the word "Webhook ON" as in the image below.
All contacts created from this Typeform API will be created in your personal workspace in Remembr.
Now that we've properly connected the Typeform API to Remembr, we're going to connect the Sendinblue API.
Sendinblue API Setup
After you create your Sendinblue account, create a contact list.
Go to the "Contacts" tab on the top menu and the "Lists" tab on the left menu. Click the "Create a New List" button.
Once you've created your list, remember the list number (here ID – 2) and click the "Settings" tab on the left menu. Click the "Configure" button on Contact and CRM Attributes.
Create 2 new attributes such as above:
- FIRSTNAME for first name
- LASTNAME for last name
Be sure to capitalize the attributes.
Once you've created the two new attributes, click the button at the top right of your screen to reach the settings. Click on the "SMTP – API" tab. This is where you'll connect your Sendinblue account to Remembr to create contacts automatically.
Copy the apiary v3 key and go to Remembr's "Settings" settings (top menu). Select the "APIs and Apps" section in the menu on the left.
This API space allows you to connect Remembr to external tools like Sendinblue.
In the Sendinblue box, you'll find the link space to stick (Ctrl-V). Above this space, write the ID number of the list you have previously created. In my case, ID 2. This means that Remembr contacts will be created in this list.
Click the "Save info" button to finish the setup.
Joint creation configuration in Remembr and Sendinblue
To complete the setup, we'll link the two APIs together so that a contact created from a Typeform form is created in Remembr and in an automatic Sendinblue list. (Don't hesitate to contact us if you're having trouble at this stage)
To do this, you're going to have to change the following link: https://remembrsandbox.eu/server/api.php?action=typeformToSendInBlue&SIB_API_KE[CLÉSENDINBLUE]Y=&API_KE[CLÉREMEMBR]Y=&LIST_ID[LISTEIDSENDINBLUE]
Tip: Copy the link into a text editor such as word to make the changes with ease.
The link is divided into four parts:
- https://remembrsandbox.eu/server/api.php?action=typeformToSendInBlue that allows contacts created in the Typeform to be redirected correctly to Remembr and Sendinblue at the same time.
- That allows S[CLÉSENDINBLUE]IB_API_KEY you to tell which Sendinblue account the contacts should be created in.
- 'API_KE[CLÉREMEMBR]Y' to tell which account Remembr contacts should be created in.
- 'LIST_ID' [LISTEIDSENDINBLUE]that allows you to add a tag to the contacts created in order to properly qualify the contacts. For example, you can put the name of the contact creation form.
So you need to change the hook part (including hooks) of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th part to properly configure the redirect.
To do this, you'll find the API key to your Sendinblue account in the "Remembr to Sendinblue" box. Simply copy the key and stick it instead in the seco[CLÉSENDINBLUE]nd part of the link.
For part 3 of the link, you'll find the API key to your Remembr account in the "Remembr API" box. Simply copy the key and stick it instead in the thi[CLÉREMEMBR]rd part of the link.
For part 4 of the link, choose a contact list in Sendinblue and copy its ID instead of in t[LISTEIDSENDINBLUE]he 4th part of the link.
For example: https://remembrsandbox.eu/server/api.php?action=typeformToSendInBlue&SIB_API_KEY=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&API_KEY=fee0ce89546fb9a1f42584&LIST_ID=2
Because your link is well built, go to Typeform to create a 2nd webhook linked to your form as before. Be careful to activate your link connection by clicking the "Webhook OFF" button. Your link is activated when the button is colored with the words "Webhook ON."
Make sure the system has been properly implemented by testing your form. Click the "View" button at the top right of your screen. Fill out and validate your form.
Visit your Remembr workspace and Sendinblue to make sure the contact has been created.
